West Coast Gamers Whitehaven are a wargames club based in the town of Workington in west Cumbria.
We meet on Wednesday nights in the Civic Hall building in Whitehaven town centre
We’re the newest group to join the West Coast Gamers club, having been open around 9 months now we’re finding our feet and doing well. We started life in the Age UK building on he Harbourside, but quickly realised this venue wasn’t big enough so we moved to the newly re-opened Civic hall building which has ample storage space as well as place to play games.
Here at West Coast Gamers Whitehaven we play a whole range of games each week!
We have a huge number of card gamers, who play Magic the Gathering, Yu Gi Oh and Pokemon among others.
We play board games when we can,
We also play a whole variety of tabletop Wargames. We play Games Workshop favourites such as Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Fantasy (Age of Sigmar)
Star Wars X-Wing & Star Wars Armada by Fantasy Flight Games.
It’s pretty safe to say that we have all manor of games being played at the club, this list is not exhaustive either. We’re always on the look out for more games to play too, so if you’ve got something you don’t see on the list, then why not bring it down? Who knows, it could become the next big thing!
